Catalog & Importing

For US customers

This section currently documents the Ingram catalog available to US customers. UK customers should see Gardners Catalogue & Importing.

Emersoft Books gives you direct access to Ingram Content Group®'s full in-print catalog inside Shopify Admin. You can search, browse, and import titles as fully-populated Shopify products — without leaving your store.

What's covered

  • Searching the catalog — find books by title, author, ISBN, genre, or filters
  • Import a single book — import one title at a time from a search result or product page
  • Bulk import by ISBN — upload a CSV to create or update hundreds or thousands of products
  • Product tags & metafields — the full reference for BISAC subject tags and the emersoft product and variant metafields, and how to use them for collections, filters, and theme customization

To let customers search Ingram's catalog from your storefront — and have books created in Shopify when they choose them — see Global Search.
